SaaS SEO services for B2B teams that want search to drive pipeline

By Nathan Ojaokomo, B2B SaaS Writer and Strategist · Updated October 9, 2026

I help B2B SaaS teams get found by buyers on Google and in AI answers. We start with the pages closest to a purchase, then I write and optimize them.

SaaS SEO projects start at $1,500 for a strategy and 90-day roadmap. Ongoing strategy and content starts at $3,500 a month, and the Pipeline Sprint covers the strategy plus 6–10 finished pages for a fixed $7,500 over 90 days.

What are SaaS SEO services?

SaaS SEO services help a software company get found by the people most likely to buy it. For a B2B SaaS team, that means ranking for the searches buyers make while comparing tools, like alternatives, comparisons, pricing, and use cases, and getting named when they ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI features for a shortlist.

My SaaS SEO services are content-led. I research what your buyers search for and ask AI tools, decide which pages to build or fix first, and then write and optimize those pages. When a technical problem keeps a priority page out of Google, such as an indexing issue or duplicate URLs, I find it and write up the fix for your developers. Large technical projects, like a site migration, are better handled by a technical SEO specialist, and I’ll tell you on our first call if that’s what you need.

I’ve written SEO content for B2B SaaS companies for more than five years, for clients including HubSpot, Zapier, Vimeo, Softr, and CoSchedule. I run the same process on my own site, where clicks from Google grew from 726 to about 3,370 in three months.

Why hire help with SaaS SEO?

Teams usually bring in outside help when content is getting published but not bringing in buyers, or when competitors keep showing up in places they don’t.

Rank for the searches closest to a purchase

Alternatives, comparison, and pricing searches have smaller volumes than top-of-funnel topics, but the people making them are already choosing a tool. Those pages go first.

Get named in AI answers

More buyers ask ChatGPT and Google’s AI features for a shortlist before they visit a vendor’s site. I track the prompts your buyers ask and build the pages those answers cite.

Recover traffic you already earned

Pages ranking in positions 5 to 20 are usually the fastest wins. A refresh of one B2B SaaS client’s article lifted its traffic 180% at its peak.

Show leadership pipeline, not only rankings

We agree on the measures before work starts, so you can report the demos and deals that search brings in.

One person from research to published page

The person who researches the keywords also writes the page, so nothing gets lost between a strategist, a writer, and an account manager.

“Nathan always produces high-quality work. He’s a great writer, but also a very knowledgeable marketer. He turns in drafts on time and addresses edit requests right away.”

Examples of SaaS SEO projects

Here are some of the problems a SaaS SEO project can solve:

  • Build alternatives and comparison pages for your top competitors
  • Get a roundup ranking for “best [your category] software”
  • Move pages ranking 5 to 20 in Search Console onto page one
  • Recover a post that slipped after a Google update
  • Find the indexing problems keeping key pages out of Google
  • Consolidate blog posts that compete for the same searches
  • Map buyer-intent keywords to the pages that should rank for them
  • Get your product named in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI answers
  • Write use-case and integration pages for a product-led motion
  • Rewrite titles and meta descriptions on pages with high impressions and few clicks
  • Plan internal links that send readers to your product and demo pages
  • Turn your paid search data into content briefs
  • Refresh pricing and comparison pages that have gone out of date
  • Set up a monthly SEO report leadership will read

If you need several of these at once and want them handled month after month, the retainer is the better fit. For one or two, start with a strategy project or a single page.

How long does SaaS SEO take to work?

Refreshing a page that already ranks can move results within days or weeks. New pages usually take a few months. On my own site, a rank tracking roundup moved within a week of its update because it was already on page two, while a refreshed alternatives article took about three months to recover.

Give a new page a full quarter before you judge it, and start with refreshes of pages ranking in positions 5 to 20, because that’s where the fastest wins are.

Who are these SaaS SEO services for?

They fit B2B SaaS teams that can publish content but aren’t getting buyers from search. It’s a good fit if any of these sound familiar:

  • Your blog gets traffic, but sales can’t name a deal that came from it.
  • Competitors rank for “[your product] alternatives” and comparison searches, and you don’t.
  • Buyers ask ChatGPT for a shortlist in your category, and your product isn’t on it.
  • Pages that used to bring in leads are slipping in Search Console.
  • Leadership wants to see pipeline from SEO, and you need a plan that can show it.

Should you hire a SaaS SEO agency, a consultant, or a writer?

An agency makes sense when you need a large team for technical SEO, link building, design, and content at the same time. A consultant gives you direction, and your team does the work. I sit between the two: I build the plan and write the pages, so the strategy and the content come from the same person. If you’d rather compare agencies, the roundup of SaaS SEO agencies lists the ones worth a call.

How do you measure SaaS SEO results?

We agree on the measures before the work starts. That usually means rankings and clicks for buyer-intent searches, citations in AI answers for your tracked prompts, and the leads and pipeline from the pages we build. A free-text “How did you hear about us?” field fills the gaps analytics miss, and it’s one of the four ways to measure content marketing ROI worth combining.

How SaaS SEO projects work

  1. Discovery call. We talk through your goals, your buyers, your product, and what search needs to do for the business.
  2. Access and data. You share Search Console, a list of competitors, and any analytics or CRM data you want the plan tied to.
  3. Audit. I review your existing pages for traffic, rankings, overlap, and technical blockers, and mark each one keep, refresh, merge, or retire.
  4. Research. I map the searches and AI prompts your buyers use, then compare what competitors rank and get cited for.
  5. Roadmap. I turn the findings into a 90-day plan, with the pages closest to revenue first.
  6. Build. I write and optimize the pages, or hand the briefs to your writers if you’d rather run it in-house.
  7. Measure and refresh. We review rankings, AI citations, and leads each month, and refresh the pages that slip.

FAQs

Questions about SaaS SEO services

What services does Nathan Ojaokomo offer?

I offer SaaS SEO strategy, the Pipeline Sprint, and a monthly SaaS SEO retainer, along with the parts on their own: content strategy, SEO and bottom-of-funnel articles, thought leadership articles, content refreshes, on-page SEO fixes, and LinkedIn ghostwriting. All of it is for B2B SaaS companies.

How much do SaaS SEO services cost?

A SaaS SEO strategy starts at $1,500, or $2,500 for larger content libraries. The Pipeline Sprint is a fixed $7,500 for 90 days with 6–10 finished pages, and the monthly retainer starts at $3,500. Articles start at $700, content refreshes at $400, and on-page SEO fixes at $300 a page.

Do you do technical SEO?

I find the technical problems that keep priority pages out of Google, like indexing issues, duplicate URLs, and sitemap errors, and write up the fixes for your developers. For large technical projects, such as a site migration, you’re better served by a technical SEO specialist, and I’ll say so if that’s what you need.

Do you work on retainer or per project?

Both. A strategy project or the Pipeline Sprint suits teams that want a defined scope, and the retainer suits teams running an ongoing program. There’s no 12-month lock-in either way.

How long until we see results?

Refreshes of pages already ranking can move within days or weeks. New pages usually take a few months, so judge them after a full quarter.

Do you only work with B2B SaaS companies?

My clients are mostly B2B SaaS companies, and my process is built around how software buyers research and compare tools. If you sell another B2B product with a considered purchase, the same approach usually applies.

What do you need from us to start?

Access to Google Search Console, a list of your main competitors, and a short call about your goals, buyers, and product. Analytics or CRM data helps if you want the work tied to pipeline.

How fast are articles delivered, and what’s your revision policy?

Most articles are delivered within 5–7 business days of brief approval, and two rounds of revisions are included with every article.

SaaS SEO is hard. Let me build the plan and the pages.

If your content gets traffic but few demos, or competitors show up in search and AI answers where you don’t, book a 30-minute call. We’ll look at your search data and decide what to build first.
